FAQs

How will I know what my child is doing daily?

You are always welcome in our facility. Feel free to visit during the day or call. Also, everyday you pick up your child; you will receive a Daily Activity Report documenting the day’s events and milestones.

What kind of curriculum is taught?

The Garden Patch Creative Learning Center has developed its curriculum around the ideals of the traditional High/Scope philosophy and the Reggio Emilia Emergent Curriculum.

The High/Scope approach allows teachers to plan daily activities in which children experience learning initiated by a quality instructor. Children will follow a daily plan that produces results that are easily assessed.

The Emergent Curriculum builds upon the interests of the child. The Garden Patch Creative Learning Center gives great attention to the look and feel of the classroom. Teachers work as researchers collaborating to advance development in your child. Children are encouraged to dialogue, compare, negotiate, hypothesize, and problem solve through group work.

Class time is divided between both types of educational philosophies encouraging individualized learner outcomes. We truly work to educate all learning styles.
